Bake Cheese Tart: Reviews & Ratings

I've been long knowing Bake, even before moving to the US as I've been their huge fan of them and they're my must-have when going to Singapore. Taking place at its Century City outlet, as expected there's almost always long line at peak hours especially given I visited on Saturday. Great thing was it moved pretty quickly, kudos to the nimble attendants for sure! Going for their original cheese tart most of the time, I guessed this was perfect time to finally try more of the newcomers flavors. In my assorted box, I opted for Choco Marshmallow, Matcha, Crème Brulee, Caramel, and Raspberry, besides the all-time favorite original for sure. I would say Bake never failed to amuse me with all newly invented flavors as it's amazing how those flavors could stand out yet not overpowering the signature cheese tart taste, which obviously what made everyone fell for it the first place. It's also super nice that despite I didn't enjoy everything straight away, the shell texture could still stay crispy and the cheese cake could stay moist. I would say my new favorite would be their crème brulee with that nice crispy burnt layer of caramel on top. Not stopping there, I got the chance to finally having again Press Butter Sand, after so long that I couldn't even recall last time having it. For you who're not familiar, it's basically butter sandwich cookies brought to the next level. Yep, never questioning the precision and quality Japanese could bring into foods, and butter cookies weren't even an exception. The original one featured delightful butter cream and caramel layers inside the yummy butter cookies. This was my first time trying the matcha one, which as expected had matcha buttercream instead and was nicely as good!

The social media foodies were not wrong about this place. It truly is the best crème brûlée cheese tart. Pretty pricey, but definitely was excellent. The crust was crispy and buttery, filling was not too sweet and just the right temperature and the best part was, of course the Brulée. Who doesn't love caramelized sugar!!! It's located on the second floor in the Century City mall. It's a very small shop, but all you need is to get your dessert and eat it on the go.

If reviews have 6 stars, I will totally choose it. Although the cheese tarts are on the expensive side, we were BLOWN AWAY by their stunning appearance, creamy texture, sophisticated and subtle flavor (not overall sweet but full of flavor). We especially like the fact that they added a hint of salt to each fruity flavor, which brings up even more flavor. The products feel really premium and high quality with lots of varieties to choose from. The staff were also super friendly even on a busy day with many customers waiting. He helped me pick the top 6 flavors (original, marshmallow, raspberry, matcha, strawberry and caramel cream brûlée). We also got the two boxes press butter sand (one original, one matcha). Both are super delicious with a buttery punch! The boxes are labeled as made in Japan. Very sturdy and serve as very nice gift boxes. We were especially impressed by the tiered design once the box was opened to show a full nice presentation of all cheese tarts. Definitely worth a red dot design award! All in all, I highly recommend giving all cheese tarts a try!!

Was at Westfield when we came across this small shop. Upon seeing they had cheese tarts, it reminded me of a spot I visited in Japan that was delicious and I had to try it. I’d never seen a cheese tart store in the area before! Store is a bit small, and it’s a bit pricey, but worth it! I just got one creme brûlée to try and shared it with my boyfriend. You’ll get a few delicious bites of goodness. What I actually liked was that it wasn’t too sweet and actually had a bit of a salty flavor to it. The center is less like normal cheesecake but more fluffy. Crust was crunchy. Looks like they had other flavors, I’ll have to come back and try other ones!

These cookies are truly special - and once you know why they taste so good, you’ll find yourself driving all the way to the edge of Los Angeles just to get them. They come in beautifully designed boxes under the name Press Butter Sand, and my favorite flavor is chocolate. The tarts are delicious too, I especially enjoyed the raspberry one. The peach pastry is also very tasty, but the real reason to come here is for the cookies. They aren’t just good - they’re extraordinary!

Note that if you get the press butter sandwich cookies, your life will never be the same. They’re absolutely delicious and I need to go back again soon because my boyfriend loved them. The tarts are of course the star of the show - they have a variety of flavors and I’d recommend eating them fresh, although they do keep in the fridge. The matcha brûlée and s’mores were my favorite. Credit cards only (no cash accepted). This is a good place to grab desserts or to give a gift. I’d recommend parking by macys if you’re coming here since it’s a short walk from there.
